Enjoy Weekends: Soft Rock

The gem embellished leather jacket in this set is wicked awesome. It's sold out but that doesn't mean we can't look and admire. And those shoes are too fantastic. Maybe this isn't exactly festive, but I would wear this outfit to a holiday party. I mean what else would I wear to go rockin around the Christmas tree. Next week is Christmas folks. Hurray!!! Have you got all your shopping done and cards made out. Are you going to any Christmas bashes? Maybe you're like me and still have to study or work. Perhaps you'll be jet setting off on some holiday getaway. Oh and if you are doing you that, you should have invited me along. I hope all my lovely readers have a rockin weekend.

London Fog Women's Feminine Trench Coat

This London Fog coat looks as if it could work for both day and night. It has a very classic trench look and the deep black makes it extremely versatile. It's easy to imagine this with trench coat with a lot of different outfits. From cord pants to a sleek pencil skirt, this coat would tie in well. London Fog is known for making very feminine versatile trench coats that one can have for many years.
I wanted to add some color to this black trench coat and started thinking about rain coats, and then rain and then purple rain. And thus deep purple was chosen to compliment this great looking trench coat.

Why you should avoid emotional spending

Laughter isn’t just the best medicine health wise; it can also do wonders for your finances. Experts suggest putting off making financial decisions until you are in an upbeat frame of mind. When you are feeling positive you are better able to make suitable choices, and to find more innovative solutions to problems.

Good moods lead to smarter shopping. This is because good moods promote optimism, creativity and generosity. When all these emotions come together it’s a fertile time for decision making.

Daphomine, an internal brain chemical, becomes more available when you are happy and also stimulates
sections of the brain responsible for memory and thinking.

People who feel sad not only shop more but they are willing to spend more for the things they buy.
Shopping has always been used as a distraction. People spend money and go on shopping binges to
escape their feelings.

Many of us can admit to emotional shopping at one point or another. You find yourself making
unnecessary purchases after a tiff with a friend or as a means to boost your self-esteem.

I used to “treat” myself to something special before a big exam. I figured even if I didn’t do great I’d at least have something nice to cheer me up, and if I did do well then it was a reward.Unfortunately, my bank accounts wasn’t looking too happy.

However, on the other hand, you also want to postpone making decisions if you are extra confident or highly adventurous. Researchers found that overconfident people sold stock too often, resulting in poor earning than other investors.

Bottom line you will have to pay for your emotional spending. A happy shopper is a smarter shopper.

Enjoy Weekends: Forever

This week, I decided to try something a little different. I included a picture of one of my outfits I took for chictopia and then found items similar to what I was wearing in the picture. I've seen this done a few times and always wanted to try it. For those of you wondering, the stockings I'm wearing in the picture are from Ardene. They were purchased years ago however. I'm crazy about the boots in the set. Is it just me or are hiker boots quite chic. You wouldn't think it with all their masculinity, but that whole tomboy look is a nice change from girly-girly glam. Whether you doll it up or stay cool and casual, I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Please leave comments and follow :)

December Trench Pic

These women sure make winter look good. I love all the various styles, lengths, and colors of trench coats displayed in this pictures. The different types of hats also makes each coat that much more chic. If I can pull off a look half as sophisticated, I may come around to winter.

Enjoy Weekends: Same Difference

I made this set a couple months ago but I had to share it, because I love everything in it. I just looks comfortable. I have no plans for this weekend except to catch up on school work...oh wait that is a plan isn't it, though it is rather uneventful when you think of all the things I could be doing. The seasonal weather is starting to get to me I think though, as I am not in the mood for people. For all you winter lovers--good for you! Winter is not a season I can ever get into. I try, really, with some hot chocolate, the odd snowball fight, even thinking of Christmas, but in the end it's still winter. If you do get jolly during this season I'd love to know how. I mean honestly, what do people do on the weekends during winter?
