It's classic, useful, beautiful, sexy, stylish, and my favorite accessory: The trench coat.

Orange Trench Coats
Before creating this set, I didn't think I'd ever actually want an orange trench coat. Orange is one of those colors that looks beautiful in nature, but can be a huge miss when it comes to garmets and accessories. Therefore, while I love it as an representive of autumn's rainbow, I don't usually like it on me or others. However, after seeing the coats featured above, I'm warming up to orange as a legit fashion color. I tend to go more for the darker oranges than the bright pumpkin patch colors, but orange in and of itself is a lovely color. This set was, of course, inspired by the coming of Halloween. Black and orange is such a stylish combo and I thought that pairing each coat with black accessories would be a fun way to present the Halloween theme.

Enjoy Weekends: Breakfast at Audrey's
It's Friday morning and I'm unglamorously sipping hot cinnamon tea in my sweats while I swoon over Audrey Hepburn as Holly Goligtly in Breakfast at Tiffany's for the 678th time (it's probably more than that.)
I'd rather be sipping champagne at Audrey's in one of the cocktail scenes. Little black dresses and vintage coats graze across the screen and before the movie ends I'm on polyvore looking for items that I can further swoon over.
The set started with the leather round bag, an item I've always wanted. More designers should make round bags...in my price range. Next I'm captivated by the dress, which is so Audrey that I wouldn't be surprised if she inspired it. Finally, my eyes feasted on the beautiful vintage coat. By the time the set is done, I'm half weeping because everything is so beautiful and miserably out of my budget. Still, it compels me to get back to my movie and appreciate the fine beauty vintage pieces often offer. If Audrey was around, I'd hope she'd invite me over to her place one weekend to gab about fashion and raid her wardrobe. Have a wonderful weekend!

Mini Lipstick Haul
Audrey Hepburn gave me a new found love of lipstick when she said "a girl just can't read that sort of thing without her lipstick". Whether it's good nes, bad news, or a hot date, lipstick always makes the moment better. When I found I had run out of this much needed beauty item, I took myself to buy a couple new shades of lipstick. One is from Guerlain

April Trench Coat Pic of the Month
April showers bring Audrey inspired trench coats. I will forever love this movie, this scene and Audrey Hepburn's trench coat in Breakfast at Tiffanys.

Calendar Craft: My inspiration for wearing so many trenches
The first time I saw "Breakfast at Tiffany's" I was in awe. The storyline, the fashion, the music--it all drew me in. One thing that really stuck in my mind was the trench coat Audrey Hepburn wore in the movie. She looked so stylish I wanted to run out and grab one..or two.
Last Christmas, I got an Audrey Hepburn calendar, and because she is such a style inspiration I didn't want to throw it out. Instead I used it to collage my desk.
This calendar craft video shows you how to decorate your desk with an old calendar.
