Grab Your Green Handbags

I never noticed how lush, green looked on a handbag until I started collecting items for this post. Green is a fabulous color for a bag. In fact, I may have to replace my numerous black ones with a sweet and vibrant green one. Green bags are sophisticated, upbeat, and a great way to solidify your outfit. I mean just take a look at the bags below. Don't you just want to grab one and head off on a spring adventure.

Bottega Veneta Large Intrecciato Hobo

Here's a bag that would be beautiful with a spring dress and some brown wedges. The woven texture and braided handle give it the appearance of a basket. But at it's price I wouldn't be able to afford to put anything in it. Still, the green is a unique twist to the age old black.

Green Patent Leather Crocodile Textured Clutch Bag

I love wristlets and clutches and this faux croc textured one in it's lovely croc green was an easy addition to the list. It's nice to know I can detach the wrist strap and the chain strap within.

Green PS1 Pouch Bag, Proenza Schouler

WANT! There's nothing else I can say about this green leather cross-body satchel bag with detachable and adjustable shoulder strap, plus external and internal pockets and layered flap.

Green Borough medium frame grab bag

Fun and feminine, the Bourough medium handbag is a crafted from the softest leather and allows for multipurpose wear. You can carry it by the handles or across the body, or over the shoulders. No matter how you choose to sport this 70s inspired green delight you'll look great.

Cath Kidston Candy Flowers Foldaway Shopper

Now I know there are a lot of other distracting colors on this green background shopper, but it is still green and it screams springtime and I just love it. Would I carry it as something more than just a shopping bag, you bet I would. Look at it. It's so pretty!

Get Your Green Shoes On

Underused. That's what I thought when I started hunting for green shoes to feature. I kept my list open not limiting it to any particular genre of shoe. Be it heel or sandal I wanted to showcase it. I learned that while there are a lot of shoes with them there wasn't many with green as it's solo hosting color, at least not as many as I thought. But I did but together this collection below and this green beauties remind me why I love this color as foot wear so much.

Butter Women's Stefania

Through the hunt for green shoes, I found a new favorite shoe brand. Butter, as it's so simply named, is a luxury shoe brand that offers a superb level of Italian craftsmanship, their signature cushioning and shoes in sleek, pretty and often bold colors such as the one above.

Here's a another green number from Butter. The glossy metallic upper and grainy texture all help to turn heads.

J.Renee Women's Gailen Slingback Pump

J.Renee was one shoe line that offered a number of cute green sling backs to choose from. I choose these one to feature for their spectacular display of glamor and elegance at a price that we can brag about--under $50 on Amazon

Laura Brandon Women's Tammy Platform Pump

I love these heels! While the some of the shoes above would work with specific outfits these heels would cute with skinny jeans, a flirty vintage skirt, high waisted shorts, or a long, a maxi, or a vintage dress. They are a great way to add a splash of color to your look.

Green diamante flower detail sandals

Oh the cuteness, the affordability, the green--these sandals will be spring/summer hit. I want to wear these to my next BBQ invite.

Green short trench coat

This green short trench coat actually inspired the green week. I saw it and thought, "bring me April showers!" It could rain all day, I wouldn't mind at all, if I wearing this lovely piece of greenery. It is sophisticated, double breasted and brings a gorgeous splash of color to one's attire. I would pair this with pretty print pieces like the ones below, especially since print is very big this season.

Get Your Green On

Green sprouts unabashedly across the land. Tree tops bare the buds of their soon to be foliage. A green carpet covers the soil below and stems of green arise and wait for flower blossoms. Springtime is full of green! I wanted to dedicate a week to this color, so full of life. This isn't a week about sustainability, just the color, and the many ways designers have used it. Lets get our green on folks!

Enjoy Weekends: Tell me it doesn't count

Tell me it doesn't count
I want to tromp around in those cowgirl boots in a field of wild oats. I want the flower earrings to inspire my dirt garden to sprout some blossoms and I want the taste of the summer fruit lip balm to replicate the sweet taste of a berry fruit salad. Spring time and warm weather this is your cue, come to me.

May the sweetness and loveliness of springtime find it's way to you this weekend.
